The federal government has delivered good news to those who had their pension payments cancelled in January 2017, because of changes to the pension asset test.
The asset test sets out the maximum value of assets a person can own before their age pension is affected.
If the federal government sent you a non-income tested Low Income Health Care Card in January this year, you will regain your entitlements to the Pensioner Concession Card from October 9, 2017.
This card entitles you to continue to receive the subsidised hearing services you have been receiving from Australian Hearing.
For more information, call Centrelink on 132 300 or go to www.humanservices.gov.au to check your pension card status.
If you would like to arrange for an appointment at your local hearing centre from October onwards, please call 131 797 and one of our friendly team will be delighted to welcome you back.
